The debate will last for a total of 16 hours, and will have 15 speakers. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will open the debate and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey will be the first speaker from the ruling party’s side.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Opposition bloc INDIA are likely to raise the issue of the expunction and subsequent restoration of Dubey’s remarks today in the Lok Sabha. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will raise the issue in the House, according to sources. On Monday, Dubey, while speaking in the Lok Sabha, had made remarks against the Congress, Indian news portal NewsClick and two journalists alleging they were linked to China “by an umbilical cord”. These remarks were expunged from Parliament records but later restored on the House website late Monday evening.
