Pradipsinh Vaghela, who was considered the most influential BJP general secretary in Gujarat, has resigned from the party post. While top party officials remained tight-lipped over the development, reliable party sources confirmed the news, adding that the BJP is likely to make its stand clear on the issue soon.
Vaghela was also in charge of the party’s state headquarters, Shree Kamalam, in Gandhinagar.
The development has come at a time when there is an alleged rebellion against Gujarat BJP president C R Paatil in south Gujarat.
