Sara Ali Khan is self-admittedly stingy. Vicky Kaushal recently opened up on how she once fought with her mother Amrita Singh for buying a towel.
Actors Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote their upcoming film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and some family secrets tumbled out as jokes started landing. Vicky revealed how Sara Ali Khan is stingy, a fact that the young actor has often admitted. He said that he saw Sara fighting with mother Amrita Singh when she found out the latter had bought a towel for Rs 1600. Sara accepted Vicky’s charge and explained that she found the towel extremely expensive when her vanity van is anyway provided with 2-3 towels. Sara is daughter of Amrita and actor Saif Ali Khan.

Vicky recounted, “Ye Amrita maam ko daant rahi thi. Maine poocha kya ho gaya. Boli mummy ko akal hi nahi hai; 1600 rupaiye ka toliya le aayi hai. Mummy ko jhaad rahi hai (She was scolding Amrita maam. I asked what happened and she said mom doesn’t use her brains, she has bought a towel for Rs 1600. She was ripping into her mother).”
In her defence, Sara said, “Arre 1600 rupaiye ka toliya kaun kharidta hai. Vanity van mein muft ke 2-3 toliye taang ke rakhte hai ye log, unhi me se koi use kar lo (Who buys a towel for Rs 1600. Vanity van always have 2-3 towels; use those).” Kapil joked that Sara must have dinner at the set also before leaving for home.
The host also asked Vicky if he is facing domestic troubles in all his films. “Picchli film mei maar kha raha tha, isme bhi maar kha raha hu… ghar mei to nahi ho raha aisa (I was being beaten up my wife in the last film as well as in this one. At least this is not happening at my home).” Vicky is married to actor Katrina Kaif.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke will hit cinema halls on June 2. The two actors have been promoting the film in various Indian cities. They also attended the IPL final as part of the promotions.
